There was Tango, Chorizo, yerba mate and alfajores for everybody and we really had a great time watching the games and enjoying the parties. For those Argentinians who travelled great distances to party with the bus and for all the Argentinos in New Zealand who shared a mate in the Cloud singing and celebrating the fact that Argentina will join the Southern Hemisphere 4 Nations tournament. We are looking forward to seeing a growing Pumas fan base.
To celebrate the end we are asking you to send in any photos that you have for us to add to our photo album. The top 3 photos will win a $20 voucher to spend on any of our products.
Did you know
In Mexico, in early November they celebrate the day of the dead. Remembering the past and respecting our ancestors has been a theme of this world cup for us. We are looking forward to a magnificent Summer in New Zealand.SpecialsUse the following promotional code to receive a 10% discount on any purchase until Christmas.verano |
Recipes
For those who've visited us at the Food Show or Organics Expo you may like to know what the trick is for making the perfect mate latte
What you need:
trim milk
What you need:
![]() |
| Add a sprinkle of cinnamon |
- 4 tablespoons of yerba mate (sin palo) Ecoteas is the best cut in our opinion.
- 1 french press (plunger)
- trim milk or soy milk and a frothing device
- cinnamon
- sugar to sweeten (1 tablespoon of sugar for those with a sweet tooth)
Place the tea in the plunger, soak the tea lightly with cold water to avoid burning the leaves then add hot water from the jug. Once the tea has brewed for a good 3-5 minutes poor the filtered tea into a large mug. Froth the milk with your processor or coffee machine and add to the hot mate, stirring the sugar in gently to raise an attractive green hue to the surface of the milk. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon to the top and enjoy. If you don't have a plunger or you have finely cut yerba mate such as Canarias (sin palo) you can try using a percolator.
